This is the official “first day” blog post, so to speak. Now, being a game design major and video gamer, this will be a bit different in comparison to other attendants of this conference as my views come from an entirely different field of study.
Today, we visited the Newseum, a museum dedicated to journalism, news, and the first amendmant. We learned about civil rights, journalism in wars, 9/11, the burlingame wall, and many other historic invents throughout american history.
One large and important thing, however, was the FBI exhibit, in which the details of how and what the FBI did to capture some of the most infamous criminals and terrorist was on display, ranging from the uni bomber to the times square car bomber.
